If
panic attacks have been causing you problems, or you are worried about
panic or anxiety disorder, then we can help you today. First of all, you are not
alone. One third of the population have sufferred a panic attack or
anxiety attack.
Doctors
say that for most sufferers self help is the most effective way to
prevent panic attacks or anxiety disorder.
For
many people the key to beating this condition is understanding it and
especially how it affects you.
That's what we learnt last year, when we went through an extremely
stressful period. When I found my wife hidden under the bed
during a panic attack, I knew we had to seek help.
We learnt a lot during long months marked by extreme anxiety and
sleepless nights punctuated by a few panic attacks. Above all, we
learnt that there is no hiding or running away, and that there are
effective techniques to get your life back, difficult as it may
seem to start with.
We emerged stronger, and this experience brought us closer together. We
now know how to recognise the symptoms, should they ever come back, and
how best to deal with extreme circumstances.
We now want to help other people be more informed than we were when it
all dawned onto us, hence this website. It's a new project so bear with
us to develop it over time.
